Responsibilities

Candidates can look forward to regular client contact, a role in business development and proposal writing/methodology creation, and a

•Collecting blood samples and body fluids from patients for laboratory testing.
•Analyzing the chemical reactions to determine concentrations of compounds such as blood glucose and cholesterol levels.
•Receive urine, blood or other samples for experimentation and analysis.
•Examining and analyzing body fluids and cells to look to for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms.

•Preparation of slides of blood and other fluids for examination under a microscope.
•Test and study blood, urine, and other body fluids
•Evaluate test results and prepare reports for physicians.
•Maintain laboratory quality assurance and safety standards.
•Crossmatch blood for transfusion
•Guide and supervise junior staff and technicians.
•Write medical articles for medical journal.

Skills/Experience

•Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) or Associate of Medical Laboratory Science (AMLS) with current practicing license.
•Minimum of 2 years’ experience and bench confidence.
•Certification and Licensed by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)
•Ability to work as part of a team as well as supervise the work of more junior staff in the laboratory.

•A systematic approach to tasks and the ability to follow instructions and set procedures.
